About

Nolan McCormick is a Research Associate in the Neuropathology division of the Lieber Institute. He graduated in 2017 from The Pennsylvania State University, earning a BS in Biobehavioral Health with a minor in Neuroscience, a BA in Japanese, and a BA in Theatre: Dance Performance. As an undergraduate he worked in the lab of Dr. Jennifer Graham-Engeland, examining the biopsychosocial mechanisms connecting stress and health. At LIBD, he assists the procurement of donated human brain tissue from the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office for Maryland State and obtains and manages relevant clinical records from medical facilities across the country under Dr. Thomas Hyde, CMO. Additionally, he works with Dr. Rahul Bharadwaj on laser capture microdissection (LCM) techniques and novel approaches in neural extracellular vesicle (EV) characterization across human psychiatric diagnoses over lifespan.
