Daniel Olivares is a Research Associate at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development, investigating the neural mechanisms of attention that are relevant for neuropsychiatric disorders. He joined Dr. Keri Martinowich’s laboratory in 2024. He received a B.A. in Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. His prior work in Dr. Bruce Hope’s laboratory at the National Institute on Drug Abuse involved the identification of molecular markers of synaptic activity using a flow cytometry of synaptoneurosomes approach. He is passionate about applying neuroscience techniques to investigate complex neuropsychiatric disorders.
