Evan-El-Halawani

About

Evan El-Halawani is a Research Assistant who joined the neuropathology group in 2021. He works alongside Dr. Thomas Hyde to dissect region-specific human brain tissue for use around the Institute. Additionally, he collaborates with Dr. Rahul Bharadwaj in studying Huntington’s disease using laser capture microdissection. Before joining The Lieber Institute, Evan received his bachelor's degree from Lehigh University. He is very much interested in the intersection of health care and social justice and hopes to pursue a medical degree in the future.
